Earth Day Ode

Best planet in the solar system, how lucky we are,

Could have landed on any, barren, lifeless star.

But this beautiful ball, wet and round,

floating in space, is what we found.

Give thanks every day, to the wonder of our home.

A living, breathing eco-system, Its not just a stone.

The Earth is our mother, is what the ancient people say.

Respect it and love it, each and every day.

So what can I do, to make a difference today?

Look at all your rubbish, and find another way.

Say 'No' to the packaging, and chemicals in your food.

Flavourings and colourings, that effect your very mood.

Say 'No' to the chemicals, that you flush down the drain.

Polluting precious water, is really just insane.

Climate change is happening, and its now down to us.

To change our comfy lifestyles, without making too much fuss.

Look to the future, 7 generations ahead.

When they look back at us, Oh, what will be said?

"They didnt really care, about poisoning the Earth.

Just money and television, What is life really worth?"

But now its time to change, and clean up our ways.

All life is a circle, It'll be like the good 'ol days

Think what your doing, has an effect in every way.

And the money in your pocket ,Is how you have your say.

Those Who See

Still ancient trees fall in the name of greed

And prophesies and warnings they do not heed

Now corporate power rules on Earth

And life and nature have not worth

When will we open our eyes to see

The marriage between nature and humanity

When will we open our eyes to see

That only the Earth can set us free

Corruption, lies and the thirst for power

Bring us closer to the final hour

The end of oil, the end of an age

Anarchy will rule along with certain rage

For none want to change their cozy ways

As the sunsets on these final days

The parties over, they need to see

And those who rule can't set us free

Only those awake will stand to fight

For freedoms sake and what is right

Only those who see heaven on Earth

The dawn of an age and the planets worth.

  A WORLD IN PAIN

WHILST HALF THE WORLD IS STILL AT WAR

WITH CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS AND POINTLESS LAW

SUPPRESION, OPRESSION AND NO HUMAN RIGHTS

FOR FREEDOMS SAKE WE MUST NOT FIGHT

WHILST THERES WAR PEACE CAN NEVER BE FOUND

AND TO THE WAR MACHINE WE ARE ALL BOUND

ANGER FIGHTS ANGER AND FEAR AGAINST FEAR

COMMUNICATION IS NEEDED FOR ALL TO BE CLEAR

SO WHY WONT THEY LISTEN TO WHATS BEING SAID

TO FEEL FROM THEIR HEARTS AND GET OUT OF THEIR HEAD

TO RESPECT EACH LIFE AND TO VALUE ALL

TO SPEAK THE TRUTH AND STAND UP TALL

TORTURE AND SUFFERING AND STILL IN MANS HANDS

A VARIETY OF EVILS IN DIFFERENT LANDS

A WOMANS LIFE IS STILL SO CHEAP

STONED TO DEATH AND SHE MUST NOT WEEP

SLICED AND SOWN IN HER SACRED PLACE

IN THE NAME OF RELIGION AND NOT TO LOSE FACE

MERCY KILLINGS ARE STILL BEING DONE

FOR SHE MUST NOT LOVE OR BE SEEN TO HAVE FUN

WHERE IS THE RESPECT, COMPASSION AND LOVE

IS THIS WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM THIS GOD UP ABOVE

SENSELESS TORMENT, DISEASE AND PAIN

TO INFLICT ON ANOTHER WE SHOULD LIVE IN SHAME

IT’S A WORLD IN PAIN, SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE

ITS SUCH A SHAME, IT’S A WORLD IN PAIN

BIG TREES

BIG TREES WHERE FAIRIES RESIDE

WHERE ELVES AND PIXIES PLAY AND HIDE

BIG TREES WHO PLAY HOUSE AND HOME

TO PLANTS AND CREATURES WHEREVER THEY ROAM

BIG TREES WHO HAVE SEEN SO MUCH

AND FELT THE LOVE OF HUMAN TOUCH

BIG TREES WHO STAND SO TALL AND STRONG

IN TUNE WITH THE UNIVERSAL SONG

BIG TREES WHO OPEN OUR MINDS AND HEARTS

AND UNITE ALL PEOPLE FROM WORLDS APART

BIG TREES, OUR FRIENDS, OUR TEACHERS, OUR LOVE

WHO RADIATE THEIR WISDOM AND LOOK DOWN FROM ABOVE

BIG TREES WHO ASK FOR NOTHING MORE

THAN TO RESPECT ALL LIFE AND NATURES LAW

BIG TREES WHO STAND SILENT AND STILL

IN TUNE WITH ALL AND GREAT SPIRITS WILL

OH TO BIG, ANCIENT, WISE, ELDER TREES, MAY WE STAND UP AND PROTECT THEM FOR THEY CAN NOT RUN FROM THE MIGHTY STEEL....
